"The bee is more honoured than other animals, not because she labours, but because she labours for others."

- St John Chrysostom

Our bees, and the forests they gather from, are our passion.

We strive to provide the best practices for keeping our bees. Our methods focus on minimal interference, allowing the bees to dictate how to maintain optimal health and well-being.

We are a small family of Tasmanian beekeepers and producers of pure, native floral honey, based in the Tamar Valley.

Leatherwood honey is our primary focus. This ancient species, endemic in Tasmania, is the most important source of food for Tasmania’s bees. We move our bees to the rainforests of Tasmania’s Northwest coast where they gather this unique, healthy and delicious honey.

Our bees bring in unique varieties of honey that are highly sought after.

"While most of our honey heads to the Australian mainland in bulk, we’re thrilled to bring our products directly to you through our local farmers market!

If you'd like to experience our honey firsthand, we invite you to visit us at Launceston's Harvest Market. Here, you can taste our distinctive leatherwood honey, chat with us about the fascinating world of honeybees and the wild landscapes they inhabit, and learn more about our exciting new tourist venture. We'd love to share our passion with you!"

In the spirit of reconciliation, Honey Tasmania acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia.

In particular, we would like to acknowledge the patinamana, larila and people who live along the kanamaluka/Tamar River and those in the takayna/Tarkine region of lutruwita/Tasmania, where we place our beehives - and their connections to land, sea and community.

We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

We send very few emails and respect your privacy.
